Mark and Erin are lovers of life and music and it shone brightly in the way that they planned their wedding day celebration. From months in advance when we received their “backstage passes” themed save-the-dates all the way to the end of Libido Funk Circus’s awesome set, it was obvious that they love their friends and love having a great time with them.
Mark spent a leisurely morning hanging out and took his time getting ready with his iTunes, Erin’s father and his brother as company while Erin enjoyed the hair and makeup time with her closest friends as well. The Morris chapel is even more beautiful than ever, but now boasts some awesome dressing facilities and air conditioning. Which must have kept Mark comfortable for his ceremony selfie. Seriously. Few people could pull off a selfie during their own wedding without it being weird or forced, but Mark is one of those few. It was pretty great.
It was pretty and great. Merry Me did a great job, as always, with amazing flowers, decor, and setup and it kept the day feeling larger than life. Especially at The Brick and as we cruised for photos with the car they rented from Vintage Chauffeuring in Chicago. The driver attire was even in character with the car. Even up to the reception the affair had a light air of effortless class, but things were really kicked up a notch when the Lucases made their entrance by driving the vintage auto into The Brick to their applauding friends and family. From that moment to the very end, Mark and Erin’s tastes and Mery Me’s abilities shined over the night. LFC killed it like they always do and everyone enjoyed fantastic dinner and libation to the best covers anyone’s ever heard of all their favorite hits from the 80’s to today. It was a magical day and it’s a great pleasure to bring you this look into Mark and Erin’s biggest day.
