Patrick and Morgan are awesome people and they make one fantastic couple. She’s a girly girl who cries and he’s a burly rugged man with a soft spot for animals and a girly girl who cries. They’re PB & J, donuts and coffee, meat and potatoes;they just belong together, and even though you can appreciate one alone, it’s just never as good as when you have both. We met Morgan a couple of years ago through through some beautiful mutual friends, and were of course pumped to shoot her wedding when we learned Patrick was putting a ring on it. They planned a uniquely intimate affair at a vintage “Dirty Dancing” type place called Walden Woods outside of Detroit. The February weather was obviously cold, but perfect for a wintery wedding wonderland, complete with a horsedrawn sleigh entrance and send off. Their vows were perfect and the evening only got better. Libations, Sweetwater donuts, and lots of dancing made for a night of happiness, laughter and love. It was a touching day that was a little bit sweeter and immeasurably more meaningful since Morgan’s father, Ben was able to be there, having overcome some very difficult physical obstacles in the past few years. There were many tears of deep deep happiness on this night. It was a beautiful thing to watch the families unite and a new family form. And, this family is growing already! We found out recently that they are pregnant and will be adding to Drummond household later this year! We love these people and we had a great time photographing their big day! Here is a look at why it was so fantastic!
